New York Trip: Day One

So I really only took one picture on day one, such a bad blogger, but my excuse was that I was having too much for to stop and take pictures! My friend Abby and her fiance Ryan live in a suburb of Rochester, New York which is only about 4 hours away so the drive wasn't too bad. I drove out with my friends Jessie and Mary. Their house was so nice, they have been fixing it up because they just bought it a few months ago so some rooms are still being painted, but everything is coming together really nicely.

They have the cutest dog named Astro, he is a Beagle mix and he just loves to be loved. He would go around to everyone to get belly rubs and to be pet and once he sensed you were tired he just moved around the circle, he was adorable! The house also came with a really nice above ground pool which we all tried out, Abby and Ryan hadn't even tested it yet. It was so nice to be in the pool because it was SO hot the whole time. We practiced our volleyball skills and had a lot of getting in and out of the pool because we all have really terrible aim.

Some of Ryan's friends were coming a little later, so we decided to have a cookout. We went shopping at Wegman's, which we all were probably too amused by because we don't have Wegman's in Ohio, at least in our part of Ohio. There were little samples around every corner, I was in food heaven. When we got back to the house we had some barbeque and Ryan's friends came, and then we played Apples to Apples (the Jewish Edition). In high school I remember our group of friends always playing Apples to Apples, it's such a fun game. No one ever takes it seriously and we all just try to throw down the most ridiculous card to make the person laugh.

After the game Ryan's friends left and we went to see Despicable Me 2. It was a super cute movie but I actually fell asleep a few times since it was getting late, so when it comes out on DVD I have to watch it again! On Day two I actually took a lot of pictures, so I will share those next time.

  1. Trip to New York?! You lucky girl! Can't wait to see more photos. The hubby and I were there last year and I'm aching to go back again.
