Stamp Collecting (Blogtember #20)

Share a photo of something old. Maybe something that has personal history for you, that was passed down to you, and that has special meaning to you. Tell us about it and why it's special.

Today I want to share something that my grandpa actually gave to me. He is a serious stamp collector, and he has these special books that have limited edition stamps. Each book has the actual stamp, a gold version of the stamp, and a bit of history along with each of the stamps. They subjects range from the Olymipics, to animals, minerals, authors, pretty much anything!

I have a few big books of these, and an extra special one that is about Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon (also from Ohio!). I searched all over for the Neil Armstrong special booklet to show you all, but I couldn't find it. I think it may still be in one of my boxes in the basement from the move. But I did include one of the other space stamps I have.

These books are really special to me because I will always have something that my grandpa especially thought of me to have. I would have never thought of collecting stamps but I love reading the little snippets of history for each one.

We have finally reached the end of Blogtember! I just wanted to say thank you to Jenni for hosting this awesome link up. It was definitely a challenge to blog every weekday, and I'm relieved that I will be back to my normal schedule. Thanks so much for all of the fun prompts! 1. What a great treasure to have for years to come! I love collecting a piece of history so you can look back on it one day and see what things were like! Very cool!
