I've always admired Katharine Hepburn. Her style had a very masculine influence which is completely opposite of my own, but I think she pulls it off quite well. She wore this style in a time when it was unconventional for women to wear slacks, but I think she did it to be taken more seriously and it took quite a bit of confidence to dress this way. Some of her movies are: Bringing Up Baby, The Philadelphia Story, and Adam's Rib.
This outfit and pose envelops everything Katherine stood for. With her simple silhouettes, she exuded power while still looking beautiful.
This outfit has the same simple lines, but I was immediately drawn to her shoes, they are absolutely fabulous!
I had to include one glamorous outfit of Katharine Hepburn, because of course she was not always wearing slacks and a sensible sweater. I love this dress so much, the embroidered pattern is to die for and the neckline and sleeves are divine.
What do you think of Katharine's style?
