What I've Read: Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone

I've always shared books I've read here, but I hadn't made a real effort to write about even most of the books I read over the year, and so this year I'm going to try to do this. It makes me a bit concerned when I go back through my Goodreads Challenges of past years and I can't even remember what some of the books were about! So as I read this year, I'd like to try to keep track of everything I've read with mini (or lengthy) reviews. I also made my reading goal considerably higher than last year. I've set it for 75 books, I figure that since I don't have to slow down for school anymore I should be able to reach it.

Starting off the year I listened to an old favorite, Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone by J.K. Rowling. I started the year off with the flu, so holding a book, looking at a book, looking at anything really, wasn't an option. I wanted to listen to something that I knew well too, so if I fell asleep or missed a bit it wouldn't really be devastating to the story. But anyway, I can't say enough good things about the Harry Potter series, re-reading the books always feels like I'm visiting old friends. I'm sure I can't spoil the story for you all, because if you wanted to read Harry Potter you probably would have read it already, but I also don't think this one really needs a recap. One thing that I wish was included in the movies that is in the book is the character of Peeves the Poltergeist. He terrorizes and teases the students all throughout the book and I think he's absolutely hilarious!
